Marie Cameron a Locktician, Natural Hair Consultant and Trainer specialises in sisterlocks/microlocks installation and care. A former “R” Certified Sisterlocks™ Consultant Marie now independently offers a choice of services for the care and maintenance of highly textured natural hair types, through Cammalocks. Marie has over fifteen years of experience installing and supporting people who wish to start the sisterlocks/microlocks journey.
Our images show clients with microlocks, which have been popularised by Sisterlocks™. Are sisterlocks and microlocks the same? A consultant should to be sisterlocks TRAINED and certified to ensure you are getting the sisterlocks look. The microlocks method of locking creates very small locks and uses a tool for maintenance. This process of care promotes natural hair growth, no hair extensions are added so microlocks are 100% natural.
Marie offers a service that is professional, reliable, consistent and punctual in a comfortable environment. She understands that African hair types (natural afro), can be fragile and requires special care to achieve the lengths shown in the pictures above. Before offering her services independently Marie appeared in the first two editions of the Sisterlocks™ Lifestyle Journal, published in January 2006 under the title heading of “Sisters, Paving the way in the UK”. As a specialist locktician and natural hair consultant, she has witnessed over many years that when afro hair (natural afro) is healthy and maintained correctly, this hair type previously considered by some difficult to manage, will grow long and strong.
